Dragon boat races held worldwide to celebrate China's Duanwu Festival


Dragon boat races are being held across the world to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival, also known as the Duanwu Festival, which takes place on June 10 this year. The festival is celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth month on the Chinese lunar calendar to commemorate ancient Chinese poet Qu Yuan from the Warring States Period (475-221 BC).
