French students experienced the traditions of the Dragon Boat Festival in Yichang City, the hometown of the ancient Chinese poet who is at the heart of this festival.
The Dragon Boat Festival is celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth month on the Chinese lunar calendar to commemorate the life and death of Qu Yuan from the Warring States Period (475-221 BC).
