Among the collections of the Nanling County Museum in east China's Anhui Province, there is an ancient zongzi of special significance. Zongzi is a traditional delicacy that the Chinese people eat on the Dragon Boat Festival, which falls on June 10 this year. According to researchers at the museum, this zongzi was unearthed at a local village from a tomb dating back to the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127). It is about seven centimeters long and weighs 10 grams. It is complete and the way it was wrapped is the same as it done nowadays in Nanling.
