Hosts China beat South Korea 2-0 thanks to Liu Chengyu's two goals on Monday to win the Huashan Cup, an Under-19 men's football invitational tournament organized by the Chinese Football Association.

China's opening goal came from Liu's close-range header in the 77th minute. In the 90th minute, the hosts doubled their lead when the 17-year-old striker scored on a counter-attack.

After securing the 2-0 victory over South Korea, China lifted the Huashan Cup with two wins and one draw.

"This victory is a good way for our players to happily grow up. They did great jobs for tonight and for the whole tournament," said China's coach Dejan Djurdjevic, adding that all of the players will turn their attention to improving step-by-step in preparation for the AFC U20 Asian Cup that will be held in 2025.

As the hosts, China have qualified automatically for the AFC U20 Asian Cup.

In another game on Monday, Murodjon Komilov's goal in the 93rd minute helped Uzbekistan edge past Vietnam 2-1 and finish in second place in the tournament with one win and two draws. Vietnam, however, suffered their third consecutive defeat at the Weinan Sports Center Stadium in northwest China's Shaanxi Province.
