Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad, in an interview with CMG's Wang Guan, praised the long-standing bilateral relations between China and Syria. He highlighted that 2,000 years ago, Chinese caravans ventured westward, with the ancient Silk Road passing through Syria. "You find China everywhere in the Middle East," said Mekdad, adding that it is a living testimony to the prosperous trade and cultural exchanges between the two ancient lands.
