Initially, 17 destinations were included in the first batch of state-level tourist resorts in 2015, selected for their excellent public information services and growing popularity. Since then, the evaluation and selection process has been conducted annually.

These newly recognized resorts are expected to boost their respective local economies and attract both domestic and international tourists. Each resort offers unique attractions and experiences that showcase the diverse cultural and natural landscapes of China.
