Heavy rainfall and dangerous flooding on Wednesday inundated much of southern Florida, U.S., blocking roads, drowning vehicles and delaying travelers. The disorganized storm system was pushing across Florida from the Gulf of Mexico, bringing extended periods of heavy rain across much of the state.
