Europe needs to be careful when applying additional taxes to imports from China or from other countries because China and other countries can do the same with European products, Bernard Dewitm, chairman of the Belgian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, told CMG in an interview. He added that overly protectionist measures will not help, and it would be a pity to go back to an era of many trade barriers.
