Twenty-five universities and colleges in Taiyuan, north China's Shanxi Province, set up teams of volunteers to mark World Blood Donor Day on June 14. Many of the students volunteered to donate their blood at Taiyuan University. Doctors say the number of blood donors has declined in the city in recent years, and that they hope more residents step forward to help.
