Cultural heritage is continually at risk of being destroyed or degraded by nature and mankind, with wars and regional conflicts being among the biggest threats. Strengthening international cooperation to protect a nation's cultural heritage has become a shared concern globally. Recently, the National Museum of China opened a major exhibition showcasing the work of the International Alliance for the Protection of Heritage in Conflict Areas.
