Ahead of the Ukraine peace conference in Switzerland, Russian President Vladimir Putin put forward a ceasefire proposal for the Russia-Ukraine crisis, but it was immediately rejected by Ukraine and NATO countries led by the United States. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said that it was wrong to regard Putin's proposal as an "ultimatum."
