A flock of brown-eared pheasants was recently spotted foraging in a forest at the Qiliyu Scenic Area in Huozhou, Shanxi Province. The population and habitat of the bird, which is under first-class protection in China, have been gradually expanding in recent years, thanks to the efforts to improve the local ecological environment.
