High-speed sleeper train makes first trip between Beijing and Hong Kong

The first high-speed sleeper train from Hong Kong Special Administrative Region to Beijing departed from Hong Kong on the evening of June 15, and arrived in Beijing on the morning of June 16. The new service will operate between Hong Kong's West Kowloon Station and Beijing West Railway Station every Friday to Monday. The train reduces the travel time between Beijing and Hong Kong by rail to about 12.5 hours from 24.5 hours.
