1,400 MW Tuoba Hydropower Station begins operation in SW China

The Tuoba Hydropower Station, a key component of the national West-East Electricity Transfer Project, has begun operation. Owned by Chinese electricity giant Huaneng Group, the station has an installed capacity of 1,400 megawatts. It can save 1.91 million tonnes of standard coal and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 5.22 million tonnes.
