China is Australia's largest trading partner, and last year's bilateral trade was higher than the sum of the next five trading partners, said Don Farrell, Australia's trade and tourism minister, in an interview with Sky News. He added that the Australian people hope to establish a mature and mutually respectful trade relationship with China.
