More than 3,000 relict gulls have entered the breeding season in a nature reserve in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The Ordos Relict Gull Reserve, the world's only nature reserve for relict gulls, is attracting flocks of these first-class nationally protected birds on mid-lake islands, where they are busy constructing nests and incubating eggs. They have built over 400 nests so far, marking a breeding peak for the relict gull in the reserve.
