CSL: Shanghai Shenhua draw with Chengdu, Qingdao extend Cangzhou's winless run to nine

Shanghai Shenhua drew with Chengdu Rongcheng 1-1 at home on Sunday in the 15th matchday of the season, and hold a one-point lead over city rivals Shanghai Port at the top of the Chinese Super League (CSL) standings.

In the fourth minute, Shenhua's Jiang Shenglong scored an own goal following a corner from Chengdu's Romulo da Silva. In the 16th minute, Yu Hanchao connected with Cephas Malele, who hit the far corner of the net to level the contest at 1-1. After the break, Tim Chow's header was called offside for Rongcheng.

Elsewhere, Qingdao Hainiu beat Cangzhou Mighty Lions 1-0 on the road. In the second minute, Wang Jianming connected with Elvis Saric, who passed to Diego Lopes and the Brazilian midfielder scored the only goal of the match from close range.

Qingdao claimed their second straight victory while extending Cangzhou's winless streak to nine in a row, with two draws and seven defeats in that run.
