Egrets and herons have made a comfortable home and breeding areas for themselves in northeast China's Dandong, Liaoning Province. By mid-June, the hatching of chicks is almost complete for the season, following the arrival of egrets in Dandong's Kuandian County earlier in spring for breeding. Every morning, the new parents take to a nearby river in search of food, returning to the nests of their hungry young ones.
