An expressway linking the east and west of Zhongshan City in south China's Guangdong Province will be ready to open by the end of June after seven years of construction. The express will cut the journey between Shenzhen and Zhongshan to half an hour and reduce travel to the Greater Bay area to a one-hour intercity commute.
