A magnitude-5.9 earthquake jolted northern Peru at 2:22 a.m. on Tuesday, the GFZ German Research Center for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10 kilometers, was initially determined to be at 3.80 degrees south latitude and 76.28 degrees west longitude.
