At the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, Polish President Andrzej Duda will pay a state visit to China from June 22 to 26, said the Foreign Ministry on Thursday.

During the visit, Xi and Duda will hold talks, draw the blueprint for the future development of China-Poland relations and have an in-depth exchange of views on issues of mutual interest, the ministry's spokesperson Lin Jian said. They will also attend a signing ceremony for cooperation documents, he added.

Lin said Chinese Premier Li Qiang and Zhao Leji, chairman of China's National People's Congress Standing Committee, will also have separate meetings with Duda.

Poland was one of the first countries to recognize the People's Republic of China, and this year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Bilateral relations have been developing smoothly, and practical cooperation has been fruitful in recent years, said Lin.

China is ready to work with Poland to take the president's visit as an opportunity to deepen political mutual trust, expand exchanges and cooperation in various fields, and jointly lead the high-quality Belt and Road cooperation and China-Central and Eastern European cooperation to continue to enrich the connotation of the China-Poland comprehensive strategic partnership, he said.
