Torrential rainfall across southern parts of China has caused severe flooding and landslides, with heavy precipitation set to continue through the week as local authorities respond to the impact. The Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Emergency Management said that they had allocated 346 million yuan (around $47.68 million) from disaster relief funds to support local governments in the affected areas in their rescue and relief efforts.
