The Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in south China has been inundated by torrential rain, and the potential for more flooding is high. At 11 a.m. on June 21, 37 hydrological stations on 22 rivers in Guangxi, such as Xunjiang, Xijiang, Qianjiang, Guijiang, Hejiang, Liujiang and Yujiang, were hit by floods exceeding warning levels of 0.07- 5.25 meters. Serious waterlogging occurred in many areas of Guilin City. The first floor of the inpatient department of Nanxishan Hospital was flooded with knee-deep water, leading to a power outage at the hospital. Soldiers were deployed for rescue work in the city.
