Chinese Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao and Valdis Dombrovskis, the European Commission's executive vice president and commissioner for trade, held talks via video link on Saturday at the latter's request.
The two sides agreed to launch consultations on the EU's anti-subsidy investigation into China's electric vehicles, according to the Chinese Ministry of Commerce.
