Apple announced on Friday that it will delay the launch of three new artificial intelligence features due to the European Union's tech regulations, which require compatibility with rival products and services.
Earlier this month, Apple highlighted its commitment to AI by unveiling numerous new features and software enhancements for its iPhone and other devices, aiming to boost declining sales.
The company introduced Apple Intelligence, an AI-driven feature for generating text, images, and other content on demand, and iPads and Macs with the M1 chip or later versions. Additionally, Mac computers will be able to view and interact with the iPhone's screen through iPhone Mirroring on MacOS Sequoia.
However, Apple stated that three features – iPhone Mirroring, SharePlay Screen Sharing enhancements, and Apple Intelligence – will not be released to EU users this year due to regulatory uncertainties stemming from the EU's Digital Markets Act.
