China's largest self-operated offshore oilfield has produced more than 100 million tonnes of crude oil – a first in the country, said its operator China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) on Sunday. The Suizhong 36-1 oilfield is in the Bohai Bay, and was put into production in 1993. Its annual peak production surpasses five million tonnes. The oilfield currently has 24 platforms and produces more than 8,900 tonnes of crude oil daily.
