One person died after heavy rain battered Wuqiangxi Town in Huaihua City, central China's Hunan Province, local authorities said on Sunday.
The town saw a large volume of rainfall on Friday and Saturday, with 399.1mm recorded in 24 hours, triggering flash floods in the area.
Local emergency authorities said one person remained unaccounted for, and work to determine if there are other missing people is ongoing.
