The China Coast Guard (CCG) drove away several Japanese vessels that illegally entered the territorial waters of China's Diaoyu Islands between June 20 and 24, Gan Yu, a spokesperson for the CCG, said in a statement on Monday.
Gan said that the CCG conducted law enforcement activities in the waters under China's jurisdiction.
"We urge the Japanese side to immediately stop all illegal activities in these waters and ensure that similar incidents will not happen again," Gan said.
