Known as the "Garden of Gardens," the Yuanmingyuan or Old Summer Palace was once a treasure trove of human culture, creatively integrating not only the essence of ancient Chinese horticulture but also Western garden styles. An exquisite sculpture of the former imperial garden is currently on display at the Museum of Chinese Gardens and Landscape Architecture in Beijing. Created by Kan Sanxi, a famous Shanghai-based sculptor, the model recreates the entire park at the height of its prosperity, offering visitors a glimpse into the superb construction techniques of ancient China.
