Peruvian President Boluarte to visit China from June 25 to 29

President Dina Ercilia Boluarte Zegarra of the Republic of Peru will pay a state visit to China from June 25 to 29 at the invitation of President Xi Jinping, Chinese Foreign Ministry said on Monday.

Detailing Boluarte's visit, Mao Ning, a spokesperson for the ministry, said Peru is an important country in Latin America, and China and Peru have a comprehensive strategic partnership.

Over half a century since the establishment of diplomatic relations, China-Peru relations have always maintained stable development and bilateral cooperation in various areas has yielded fruitful results, bringing tangible benefits to the two peoples, she added.

This will be President Boluarte's first state visit to China, Mao said, adding that President Xi will hold talks with the visiting leader. Chinese Premier Li Qiang and Chairman of the National People's Congress Standing Committee Zhao Leji will have separate meetings with her, she said.

Mao said China looks forward to further consolidating mutual political trust and deepening mutually beneficial cooperation with Peru through this visit, aiming to push the two countries' comprehensive strategic partnership to bear more positive results.
