President Dina Ercilia Boluarte Zegarra of the Republic of Peru arrived in Shenzhen in south China's Guangdong Province on Tuesday by high-speed train from Hong Kong's West Kowloon Station.

President Boluarte is on a state visit to China from June 25 to 29.

Shenzhen is the first stop on Boluarte's itinerary. While there, she will visit several Chinese companies, including tech giant Huawei and automaker BYD.

Boluarte will travel to other Chinese cities, including Shanghai, Suzhou City in east China's Jiangsu Province and the nation's capital, Beijing.
