The eighth Sino-Swiss Economic Forum (SSEF) in Beijing is scheduled for July 1, 2024, coinciding with the visit of Swiss Federal Councillor H.E. Guy Parmelin, who also serves as the head of the Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research.

This year's forum, themed "Empowerment, Cooperation, and Innovation," promises to spotlight pressing topics such as life sciences, sustainable development, advanced engineering, talent retention, market access, and regulation—key areas of interest for both Swiss and Chinese businesses.

The forum is set to provide a dynamic platform for dialogue among industry leaders, policymakers, and experts from both nations, fostering new partnerships and investment opportunities within the economic and business communities of Switzerland and China.

The SSEF, held biennially in Beijing, stands as the largest economic summit between the two countries to date, featuring top-tier speakers from the political and business arenas of both nations.

Organized jointly by the Swiss Chamber of Commerce in China and the Embassy of Switzerland in Beijing, the SSEF continues to be a pivotal event for bilateral exchanges, driving discussions and sharing advancements that impact both countries' commercial and academic sectors.
