The EU's forced imposition of additional tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles (EVs) completely violates the framework of the World Trade Organization and relevant trade agreements, said Ren Hongbin, chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT). EU's tariffs are detrimental to both Chinese exporters and the EU economy, he added.
