"She Walks in Beauty: Women of the Han Dynasty and the Roman Empire" was unveiled on June 15 at the Hunan Museum in Changsha. The exhibition brings together more than 200 artifacts, including bronze, pottery, glass and jade, from 19 museums across Italy and China.

The objects delve into the family, social and emotional lives of women from 2,000 years ago in both the East and the West. Among them is a gauze gown weighing a mere 48 grams. Described as "thin as a cicada wing" and "light as smoke," the garment has never before been on public display.

The exhibition, which celebrates the timeless beauty and grace of women of the Han Dynasty and the Roman Empire, runs until October 7.
