The coast guard authority in China's Fujian Province conducted regular law-enforcement patrols in waters near Kinmen on Tuesday, the China Coast Guard (CCG) said in a statement.

The Fujian coast guard has been intensifying such patrols in the waters near Kinmen since June, the CCG said, to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese fishermen, including those from the Taiwan region, as well as the safety of their lives and property, and to ensure normal navigation in the Xiamen-Kinmen maritime area.
