The State Preeminent Science and Technology Award was presented on Monday, honoring two distinguished scientists: Li Deren, an academician of both the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and the Chinese Academy of Engineering from Wuhan University and Xue Qikun, an academician of CAS from Tsinghua University.
In his remarks, Li Deren encouraged young people to contribute to the progress of their country and the world.
