The Russian Foreign Ministry on Tuesday announced retaliatory measures to EU restrictions against Russian media, banning broadcasting by 81 European Union media outlets on its territory.
Last month, the EU banned four more Russian media outlets from broadcasting in the 27-nation bloc for what it called the spread of propaganda about Russia's special military operation in Ukraine and disinformation.
Moscow will reconsider its restrictions on EU media relations if Brussels lifts restrictions on Russian media, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday.
