The head of the embattled United Nations agency supporting Palestinian refugees said Tuesday that it had secured funding until the end of August.
"We have cash until end of August," Philippe Lazzarini, the head of UNRWA, which coordinates nearly all aid to Gaza, told reporters on Tuesday.
The body is experiencing a cash crunch. Earlier this year, many countries paused payments to the agency following Israel's claims that some UNRWA staff were involved in the October 7 Hamas attack.
All but two of those countries, the United States and Britain, have since resumed funding.
