Yinghu Lake in Ankang, northwest China's Shaanxi Province, is not only a popular tourist destination, but also a crucial link in preserving water for the South-to-North Water Diversion Project's middle route, a key infrastructure that's helped transfer 10 billion cubic meters of the essential resource to the Chinese capital Beijing. Over the past few years, local authorities have made significant efforts to restore and safeguard this vital freshwater lake. CGTN's Yang Jinghao explores the transformation.
