Yinghu Lake in Ankang, northwest China's Shaanxi Province, is not only a popular tourist destination, but also a crucial link in preserving water for the South-to-North Water Diversion Project's middle route, a key infrastructure that's helped transfer 10 billion cubic meters of the essential resource to the Chinese capital Beijing.
