China has launched a new initiative called the "Belt and Road Skills-Building-Dreams Action" to strengthen international skills cooperation among participating countries.

Announced by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security on Tuesday, the action aims to promote joint vocational standards, share training resources, cultivate skilled trainers, achieve mutual recognition of training certificates and establish cooperative brands. These efforts ultimately aim to empower the economic and social development of BRI countries.

Over 30 cooperation agreements were signed during the launch ceremony in southwestern China's Chongqing Municipality.

Representatives from Laos, Romania and China shared their experiences in skill cultivation cooperation at the ceremony.

Additionally, resources related to skill training were promoted, including the "China Occupational Classification Dictionary (2022 Edition)," 12 Chinese national occupational standards, 15 basic vocational training packages and 85 vocational training materials in advanced manufacturing, modern services, elderly care and more.
