As reported by Reuters, the U.S. government has opened an investigation into China Mobile, China Telecom, and China Unicom, citing "risks to U.S. national security." However, Reuters noted that there is no evidence of any wrongdoing by these companies. The U.S. government has long abused the concept of national security to target Chinese enterprises, disrupting the market and violating fair competition. But the U.S. sees itself as "impartial" and "fair" in sweeping sanctions on all these companies... just so long as they are Chinese.
