"'From Chancay to Shanghai' has become a popular phrase, heralding the broad future of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries," Chinese President Xi Jinping said while meeting with Peruvian President Dina Boluarte at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Friday.
Boluarte, who is on a state visit to China from June 25 to 29, is the first Peruvian leader to visit China in eight years.
