Peruvian President Dina Boluarte met with authorities of Chinese shipping giant COSCO in Shanghai on Thursday. COSCO is the majority shareholder of the Chancay mega port, a signature project under the Belt and Road Initiative in Latin America. Boluarte said it will be a leading logistics hub for cross-border transportation in the South American-Pacific region. The port is expected to be inaugurated in November.
