In a poll conducted by CGTN and Renmin University of China, Asian respondents believe gun violence and drug abuse are worsening in the United States, and racial discrimination is deeply entrenched. More than 81 percent of respondents say the party divisions highlight the flaws in the U.S.'s political system. Over 71 percent of respondents believe the U.S. interferes in other countries' internal affairs, using democracy as an excuse. Einar Tangen, a senior fellow at Taihe Institute, shares his thoughts on the poll results.
