This year marks the 70th anniversary of the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence, proposed as the norms for China to handle international relations. To carry forward these ideas under the new global circumstances, the country hosted commemorative events in Beijing on Friday. At one such event, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi addressed a luncheon, highlighting the principles' enduring impact in regulating state-to-state relations, transcending social systems and ideologies for most countries in the world.
