Live: Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link – a new path forged

China's infrastructure prowess is on display again! After seven years of navigating both land and sea, the construction of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link has been completed and is now set to open. June 30 marks the bridge's opening day to the public and is widely seen as a massive step forward in further connecting not only the Greater Bay Area but the entirety of south China, including the special administrative regions of Hong Kong and Macao. A combination of underground tunnels beneath the Pearl River, an extended bridge above water and man-made islands come together to create one of the most advanced cross-sea projects around the world. What was once a two-hour drive from Zhongshan to Shenzhen has now been cut down to a mere 30 minutes, bringing accessibility, convenience and speed to both travelers and businesses. Join CGTN's Omar Khan and Baoan Media Convergence Center anchor Luo Kang as they journey across the Pearl River.
