Five people have died as a result of a mudflow triggered by heavy rainfall in Nookat in southern Kyrgyzstan's Osh region, the press service of the country's Ministry of Emergency Situations reported Saturday.
Efforts are still underway to try and rescue two missing people who were carried away by the mudflow.
A state of emergency has been declared in the Nookat region due to the natural disaster.
