The total number of members of the Communist Party of China (CPC) reached 99.185 million as of the end of 2023, a rise of 1.2 percent compared to the previous year.
According to an official release, the CPC now has 5.176 million grassroots-level organizations, which include 298,000 grassroots-level Party committees.
Data shows that there are currently 30.185 million female Party members, who account for 30.4 percent of the total. Ethnic minority members account for 7.7 percent, with their numbers standing at 7.592 million.
The majority of the Party members are workers, farmers, technical personnel, and enterprise and institution managers.
