The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit will take place in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, on July 3 and 4. Established in June 2001 with six founding members, the SCO has expanded to include nine member states, three observers, and 14 dialogue partners. The total population of the SCO member states represents nearly half of the global population, and their combined territory accounts for a quarter of the world's land area. Over the past two decades, what achievements has the SCO made, and what challenges does it face? How will it foster stability in this uncertain world? In this special edition of Media Chats, Xu Yawen will explore these questions with journalists from Kazakhstan, Russia and Pakistan.
