China Media Group (CMG) began screening some of its highest-quality programs on mainstream media in Kazakhstan on Sunday to promote friendship between China and Kazakhstan.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry announced on Sunday that Chinese President Xi Jinping will attend the 24th Meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Kazakhstan's capital, Astana, and pay state visits to Kazakhstan and Tajikistan from July 2 to 6.
A dozen of CMG's documentaries and special programs, including "Encounter with Xi Jinping" and "The Call of the Silk Road," are scheduled to air until July 6 on Kazakh TV channels Silk Way and Atameken Business TV channel, among other media outlets.

China and Kazakhstan agreed to establish a permanent comprehensive strategic partnership in 2019.
According to China's Xinhua News Agency, cooperation between China and Kazakhstan under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) has been fruitful in areas such as connectivity, production capacity, economy and trade, and people-to-people and cultural exchanges.
